The phantom love

The thought is never pleasant,  to lose the one you love,  As though your limbs were severed,  then tossed among the wolves,  Yet you still remember,  each time you close your eyes,  Their phantom touch still lingers,  yet never ease your cries.

Chill man, it wasn't intended as an edit or anything, hell, I don't even think I improved the work, its just how I heard the words when I read it. I shared it with her because it was her work that inspired the thoughts.

I actually didn't mean it as an edit job. Sometimes when I read something, it plays back differently in my head, what I sent you is what I heard when I read your poem. It isn't any better than the original, just different :)
